Hiroshima/Nagasaki Remembrance

Each August, PeaceWorks KC hosts a remembrance ceremony to mark the anniversaries of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the United States during World War II. The ceremony is traditionally held at the Loose Park lagoon, weather permitting, and consists of readings and addresses by community members, as well as memorial lanterns and music.

Visit our event page to see when this and other events are scheduled.
