Hello, Peace People!

Understandably, PeaceWorks Kansas City enters 2025 with some trepidation, given the political changes coming to Washington with a second Trump Administration.

We encourage you to be peace people with us as we:

  • Support the Back from the Brink coalition and seek to pass anti-nuclear weapon resolutions in four area cities;
  • Support the Warheads to Windmills coalition in its anti-nuclear-weapons efforts;
  • Continue to oppose the genocidal actions of Israel in Gaza;
  • Seek to build an action network to resist the anti-human and anti-justice acts we can expect from the Trump Administration (e.g., an attempt to eliminate non-commercial media like KCPT and KKFI Community Radio); and
  • Give items such as food, old sofa cushions (throw pillows) and blankets, old coats, and tarps to PeaceWorks Board Member Debora Demeter, who takes our offerings to the homeless near Hope Faith Ministries, at Admiral and Virginia in KC MO. We can ask Debora at 816-560-4623 to come to us for our items.

Also, as 2025 begins, we in PeaceWorks need your financial support if you have not donated to us in 2024. Please donate through our website www.peaceworkskc.org using the “Donate” button at the upper right, or send us a donation at 4509 Walnut Street, Kansas City, MO 64111.
