Slide show depicts 4/30 drone war protest at Whiteman AFB

Twenty-three persons protested drone warfare at Whiteman Air Force Base, near Knob Noster, MO, on April 30. The protesters heard from speaker Brian Terrell that Whiteman AFB’s 20th Attack Squadron includes technicians, administrators and pilots who operate the MQ-9 Reaper drone. Whiteman officers, he said, engage in combat operations by remote control without ever leaving the base. The protesters held signs for drivers to see and shared questions and views during the rally at the Whiteman entry.
