In the KC MO metro area, Code Pink called for a rally May 7 to seek an end to the war on Ukraine. Mary Hladky, vice chair of PeaceWorks Kansas City, said afterwards, “Ending war always means having to talk/negotiate with the opposition. Our demand is for a ceasefire and then negotiations. We must be willing to find a reasonable settlement so that the killing of Ukrainians and Russians ends.”
