By Christopher Overfelt

On Monday, Dec. 5, at 7pm, Nicolas Davies, co-author of the new book War in Ukraine: Making Sense of a Senseless Conflict, will speak at All Souls Universalist Unitarian Church at 4501 Walnut in Kansas City, MO. The book outlines the historical context of the current war in Ukraine and what is needed to end the conflict as soon as possible.

The cosponsors of the talk in KC are PeaceWorks Kansas City, Code Pink, Community of Reason, and Veterans for Peace. Davies and Medea Benjamin, founder of Code Pink, co-authored the book.

While in Kansas City, Nicolas Davies will also give radio interviews to KKFI and will be speaking with the editorial board of the Kansas City Star. After speaking in KC, Davies will move on to Columbia and St. Louis to host book discussions there.

The goal of these discussions is to bring to our local area facts and viewpoints about the war in Ukraine that are missing in our current narratives. Come and listen and discuss with us.

—Christopher Overfelt, of Veterans for Peace, serves on the Board of PeaceWorks KC.
