In the midst of political chaos and division, come talk about solutions. Join PeaceWorks Kansas City’s Annual Meeting on Sunday, March 9, 2-4pm, at Simpson House, 4509 Walnut, in Kansas City, Mo. Rub shoulders with activists for peace in the Mid-East, for freedom from nuclear weapons, and for a welcome mat instead of deportation for immigrants.

We’ll elect PeaceWorks leaders and we’ll give awards to Citizens for Justice in the Middle East and to Cross Border Network for Justice and Solidarity. We’ll consider actions we should take together and will review our budget and future events. An e-mail from PeaceWorks said meeting topics would include both remembering the PeaceWorks KC Local Art fair as it ends, and “resisting Trump’s injustices.”

“During this time of confusion and insanity, we’ll discuss ways to bring peace and understanding,” says Cris Mann, interim president of the PeaceWorks Board. Her son, Rob Mandela, asks, “Find ways to stop the conflict and bloodshed.”

For info, contact Cris Mann at 314-495-8006.
