Christianne Bohannon

Today’s artist is Christianne Bohannon, whose “artist’s secret identity” is Artist KC.

She presents uniquely individual portraits of the family members many of us prize the most, our two, four, and six-legged animal companions. Her art speaks for itself, but we also get to hear from the artist in her own words!

____________

A Kansas City transplant from St. Louis, Chris left a 20-year teaching career to pursue her entrepreneurial dreams:

“Creating has been my passion since childhood. Nothing beats getting my hands dirty while crafting my soul in physical form.

And nothing touches my soul more than the pure innocence and love animals offer us.  It was only natural that when I left teaching that I combine my love of art with that for animals.  In fact, the first painting I created was a memorial to my orange tabby Copper.  It’s titled “Defending the Castle” and I’ve included it here for you.

Knowing what pets mean to us and how they immeasurably enhance our lives, I now work full time on custom pet paintings for other pet enthusiasts.  Working on commission is very rewarding as I’m able to share my talents to spread joy!  I love my clients and the relationships we build.

In addition to custom work, I sell my personal collections of original paintings and images on various products at Kansas City events and through my online shop.

I hope you enjoy my work and choose some joy for your home!”
